Sleepwalking

It's 2.18am in the morning
The Sun is sleeping silently
The city is dead
The Moon is wide awake

She, alone, walking in the middle of the street wearing a cream cotton pyjamas with her bare feet
No destination. Nowhere to go
She just walks and keeps on walking, hoping to leave the sadness behind
Her eyes stare ahead unemotionally

The night breeze breezes through her long black silky hair
Chilling, but not enough to wipe away all the sorrow in her head
Dark. Empty.
Trying to find the moon

She lifts up her head and looks at the sky
Glittered by the stars, It is a starry night sky
Just like the same glow - in - the - dark puzzle hanging by her bedroom wall
Exactly the same
Only this time, the moon isn't there

The city is dead, the road is wet because of the rain earlier
Pitch black. Silent.
Still walking. Still trying to find the moon
Without she realizes, the tears running down through her cheeks
She feels weak. The burden is just too heavy for her to carry alone

Reaching a park, she crosses the road
The light from the lampposts is not bright enough to brighten up her dark days
Dark. Empty.
The fireflies start to follow her
A weak smile appears on her pale - pinkish face
She prefers to call them as her angel

She lays on the soft green grass, staring up to the glittery sky
Dark. Empty.
She knew her hope is up there somewhere
She just doesn't know where it is, how to find it, or where is it hiding
But she knew, she just knew

There she is, laying on the grass
Stare blindly up to the sky with the tears running down
Sick and tired of trying
It's time to just let go of everything
Unemotional

Still trying to find the moon...
